Mobile: Tech to make part of your St. Patty's Day festivities

1:01 /

St. Patrick’s Day, is right around the corner. Whether you plan to celebrate by baking Irish soda bread or tossing a few back at your local pub, CNET's Kara Tsuboi reports on some fun tech to help you enjoy the day.

If you're hosting a St. Patrick's party, check out the green and shamrocked-themed invitations from websites like Evite, Pingg or Paperless Post. They range from the whimsical to the sophisticated to the downright silly, but most are free to send. To capture the fun of your party, check out the iPhone app at St. Patrick's Day Photo Free. Take a new photo or upload a favorite and then add all sorts of St. Patty's day-themed accessories: leprechaun hats, pots of gold, 4-leaf clovers, the works. Send the pics out through the app to spread the luck of the Irish. Test your knowledge of the holiday with the free iPhone download, St. Patrick's Day Irish Quiz. The game features over 100 questions on Irish culture. For example, do you know why the shamrock is the symbol of St. Patrick? Finally, if you plan on celebrating this holiday with Irish beer, the free iOS and Android app, a Guinness Pub Finder will point you in the right direction in your zip code. From San Francisco, I'm Kara Tsuboi, CNET.com for CBS News.
