CNET News Video: Tech Minute: Photo sharing now easier than ever

1:02 /

Smartphone cameras are a thriving phenomenon with improved technology, software features, lenses, and apps that rival the quality that was once only available in dedicated cameras. And thanks to a new photo-sharing partnership app, your pics can be shared more easily than ever. CNET's Kara Tsuboi has the details in this Tech Minute.

For the first time, two incredibly popular photo apps are now able to talk to each other through your iPhone, making photo sharing easier than ever. Hipstamatic and Instagram announced that you can now upload your images taken with the Hipstamatic directly to your Instagram feed. Big news for fans of the old timing app that lets you manipulate your photos with fun filters, boarders and lighting tricks. Here is how it works, first, update you Hipstamatic app and you'll notice there's a new lay out. Next, select the photo you want to share. Their will be an Instagram logo nestled between Twitter and Tumbler icons then just tap the share button and whall, your Hipstamatic photos will appear the next time you refresh your Instagram feed. Users will also be able to tag the photo with the lens, film and flash used and add a comment, all without leaving the Hipstamatic app. Happy snapping and sharing.
