1:02 /

Father's Day is right around the corner. If you're looking for last-minute gift ideas -- and want to opt for something a bit more techy and cool than the standard tie -- then look no further. From a BBQ gadget to a fitness device, CNET's Kara Tsuboi reports on the best high-tech dad's day gifts for 2013.

Dads on the go will love Belkin's ultimate keyboard case for iPads. For $99, this case provides a slim comfortable keyboard, but also folds up gracefully and provides protection on the front and the back. Sporty dads are those who want to be a bit more active will appreciate the $100 Fitbit Flex. Set your fitness goals and watch how the Flex counts steps, distance, and calories burned to get you on track. At night, the comfortable wrist band will even monitor your sleeping habits and vibrate softly to wake you. What dad doesn't like to barbeque? Up his grilling game with the Grill Alert Talking Remote Meat Thermometer. Insert the probe into the meat, select how well you'd like it cooked, rare, medium rare, etc., and then walk away. This $60 wireless thermometer will alert you when your food is perfectly grilled. For more Father's Day recommendations, visit CNET.com. In San Francisco, I'm Kara Tsuboi, CNET.com for CBS News.
