Virtual desktops are easily my favorite things about any modern operating system and it's great to see that Microsoft is finally getting onboard with Windows 10.
Here's how it works.
click the task view button on the Start bar and you'll see all of the windows and apps you've currently got open.
A row of squares along the bottom of the display will list all of your desktops.
Click that plus sign and you'll create a new one.
Each desktop acts as sort of a private island.
Everything you open on a desktop will remain on that desktop, allowing you to create independent, uncluttered workspaces for all of your stuff.
You can have one desktop for work, another for Reddit, another for games, for example.
You can also move things from one desktop to another.
Just right click on them.
To switch between desktops, go to the task view and click on the desktop you want to use, or you can hold down the Windows key and press the left or right arrows to quickly jump between them.
