'Spectre' review: Bond's license to thrill intact in 'solid' Skyfall sequel

It was me James. The author of all your pain. [MUSIC] Late in the year for the lesser goal. It'll be in Morocco within the fortnight. You've had eyes on Spectre. I have. So, Bond's 24th cinematic outing. What do audiences expect? Well if you liked Skyfall, you'll probably like Spectre because it's like Skyfall only more so. Some short and Daniel Craig is on demanding confidence swaggering He's so relaxing, cracked a joke or two. And it's easily the funniest Bond film since my man took the job. Sounds like a neat piece of work. Any loose ends control should know about? That's enough questions. Enough questions years ago. Sit down. [MUSIC] Agent. Our problem is the plot. Spectre verged into even more personal and psychological territory than Skyfall with Bond facing a shadowy adversary from his past. And his job is under threat from a ripped from the headlines government surveillance program. But neither threat really convinces although Christoph Waltz is as watchable as ever. Control will expect a concise report. Can you sum up your views on the Spectre. Here's your report. Spectre is solid Bond. Although in some ways it's trying them too hard. It's too long, and it over cooks the angle in trying to get into Bond's head. But there's some crashing action, and Daniel Craig is on soft form.
