Have you been eyeing a gorgeous black sweater but can't justify the price? Or perhaps you've been stalking a sleek sofa in hopes of a sale. CNET's Kara Tsuboi checks out new comparison shopping apps to help you save time and money in this Tech Minute.

The website and app Neff is pretty appley name. It's a great place to start if you know exactly what you're shopping for. Find the item from 1 of 700 partner stores everything from Bed Bath and Beyond to Banana Republic and start tracking it. List your ideal price and Neff will email you if and when the price drops. What's that Neff apart from competitors is its beautiful and simple to use design. It elevates bargain hunting to an art form. They've free shop advisors all about the data, make a wish list of products you're interested in and the app will alert you when the price drops. It also tracks prices of a history to let you know when is the right time to buy and when the app knows your location, it can offer similar deals at brick and mortar stores nearby. If you're specifically shopping for clothing, then turn to the best personal shopper on the web, Shopittome.com. Let the site know what brands and what sizes you're shopping for and they'll do the rest. The site will send you emails with price mark downs, promotional codes, and secret sales. Happy hunting or shopping in San Francisco. I'm Kara Tsuboi, Cnet.com for CBS News.
