[MUSIC] If your TV is mounted about your fireplace, you're doing it all wrong. Mounting a TV above a fireplace seems logical and it just looks good but it does come with a few issues. First, the heat from the fireplace can actually increase your TV's operating temperature and shorten its life. Then there's the issue of Soot actually getting into your TV. But if you never actually use your fireplace, then there is one more thing to consider. Have you ever sat in the front row of a movie theater, well, placing a TV above a fireplace almost always leaves you straining your neck. Ideally, your TV should be placed at eye level when you're sitting down, or you can even look slightly down at [INAUDIBLE] Those are much more comfortable viewing positions. So save the fireplace for some family photos or a nice piece of art and keep your TV somewhere where it's heat-free and at eye-level. And now you're doing it right.
