First Look: Samsung WEP300 Bluetooth Headset

0:59 /

The Samsung WEP300 is a decent and affordable entry-level Bluetooth headset, if you don't mind average call quality.

[ background music ] >> I'm Nicole Lee, associate editor for cnet.com, and this is the Samsung WEP300 Bluetooth headset. It is a pretty basic, entry level headset from Samsung, and as you can see, it's a very slim, small compact design. It has a simple multi-function button in the middle, and the volume controls are actually on the left and right side. On the back is a very simple in ear style ear bud. There is no ear loop because it just fits in the ear without the need for an ear hook. However, we would have liked to see an ear hook just to add additional stability. We found the call quality of the WEP300 pretty average. We could hear our callers just fine, and they could hear us just fine as well. But there was some echo, and there was some static involved. So it's not the best sounding headset, but it works well for what it is. The Samsung WEP300 is available for around forty dollars.
