Quick Tips: Samsung Galaxy S4 navigation secrets

1:10 /

Sharon Vaknin shows you three hidden tricks for getting around on your S4.

Unadvertised hidden tips are sometimes the most useful. And the Galaxy S4 is packed with little tricks for getting around the interface. Here are a few. Now, you know you can swipe down from the top to access your notification bar in quick settings. You might also know that you can swipe left to see more of these tools but swipe down with two fingers and you'll get the full tiled list of quick settings no matter where you are in the interface. Here's another one. There's an easier way to get from home screen to home screen especially if you have more than just a few. Just tap and hold this navigation panel and watch it turn into a slider. Finally, whenever you're looking at a contact in your address book, call log or even message list, there's a super fast way to get in touch with them. Swipe left over the name to send them a message or quickly swipe back and forth to give them a call. If you want even more tips like this, check out mastering the Galaxy S4. CNET's e-book packed with everything you need to know about this phone. For CNET, I'm Sharon Vaknin.
