CTIA 2014 Super Mobility Week: Samsung Galaxy Indulge for Cricket Wireless

1:08 /

The midrange Android 2.2 Froyo phone will be picking up its second carrier; look for it in May or June.

-Hi, I'm Jessica Dolcourt with CNET here in CTIA where I'm taking a first look at the Samsung Indulge for Cricket Wireless. Now, we first saw this phone on MetroPCS. It's pretty much the exact same phone for Cricket, although some of the bundled apps and pricing are gonna be a little bit different. So, as a refresher, this phone has a 3.5-inch display that runs Android 2.2 Froyo and it's got Samsung's Touchwiz interface. It also has this hardware buttons below the screen that help you navigate around and a full QWERTY keyboard that has pretty responsive keys. We got these pretty comfortable the first time around and they're still comfortable. On the back is a 3.2 megapixel camera and inside are some of those apps that I mentioned from Cricket that are bundled in to help you manage your Cricket account. There is no release information yet, but it's going to be about May or June. There's no pricing information yet either, but expect about $300 to $350 off contract. I'm Jessica Dolcourt. This is the Samsung Indulge for Cricket.
