First Look: Samsung Galaxy Discover comes to Cricket

1:04 /

Craving the stock Android experience? You'll find it on this entry-level Ice Cream Sandwich phone.

Hey, everyone. I'm Jessica Dolcourt for CNET here at CTIA 2013 in Las Vegas. This is the Samsung Galaxy Discover, a new phone for Cricket that will be coming out this summer. As a Cricket phone, it is preinstalled with Muve Music. That is their music service for every phones and some other phones as well, and that gives you unlimited downloads for anything that you wanna hear, songs, ring tones, whatever. This is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone. Interestingly, it runs stock Android and not Samsung's usual TouchWiz interface. It's fairly low-end, more of an entry-level device. It looks a little bit like the Samsung Galaxy S3. It's thicker, but it does have the sort of brushed finish on the back and this nice neutral color. This phone has a 3.5-inch display and a 3-megapixel camera. There's no LTE on here. No front-facing camera, pretty much just the basics. I'm Jessica Dolcourt for CNET. This has been the Samsung Galaxy Discover, and you can find all of our CTIA coverage at CNET.com.
