Tech Industry: Samsung CL-80

The Samsung CL-80 is a touch-screen digital camera with a built-in tilt that supposedly helps with taking photos.

[ Music ] >>Hey I'm Tom Merritt at CES 2010 taking a look at the Samsung CL80. This is a nice 14.2 megapixel camera. It's got HD, can do 720P, it has an HDMI app but the cool thing is on the back. This is a nice big 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen so you can use this to navigate around and take advantage of all the functions and settings. It also has wireless technology built in a few different ways, actually. You can do Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or DLNA so if you have some DLNA devices, not a lot of people have them but if you do you can actually share between those devices with this camera. But the Bluetooth allows you to take pictures and go back and forth over Bluetooth. And the Wi-Fi is probably the coolest one because you can then, once you're connected to Wi-Fi, share directly to photo sharing sites like Flickr, that sort of thing. And otherwise it's just a good solid Samsung camera, silver, black and orange are the different colors that it will come in and if you notice it's got a little bit of a tilt. I'm gonna set it down here and you can see, if you want to put it on a shelf to you know take a picture with your group outside, it tilts up a little bit, that's supposed to give you a little bit of better framing, and also ergonomically when you're taking the picture, it tilts forward like this, you can see that tilts forward. I'm not sure if I like that or not but supposedly it's supposed to make it a little easier for you to take a picture. They say it will be available in the spring. No pricing on it yet but it is the Samsung CL80. At CES 2010, I'm Tom Merritt. [ Music ]
