Robots play soccer at RoboCup 2016, what sports should they play next? (CNET's Open_Tab)

[MUSIC] The Robot World Cup took place in Germany. Did you guys know about this? I did. They fell over a lot. Yeah because robots. So they ain't the most graceful things in the world. They can't play soccer. Literally soccer kicking robots. Actually apparently they can play a little bit. I'm sorry this looks like the most boring **** soccer game in the history of soccer. Can you imagine watching that in person? My God. Look at all these. What's going to happen with the black team? And what a kick. Give me a break, robots can't play sports. Apparently they did. [CROSSTALK] A header! Get outta here. [CROSSTALK] Those one's are better. [CROSSTALK] They are just trying too hard. Run run, no. Goalie's not even moving. Wake up goalie! What are you doing! [CROSSTALK] Right? Finally scored. Finally scored. That was a tough persistent problem there. Probably shouldn't do it again. So this is a thing. There were a lot of people there inexplicably. What sports would you want to see robots play if you had to? Not going by this because that looked mostly awful. Maybe bowling? Bowling? It's a good precision bowling. Dude bowling is like the easiest. It's like a pitch machine. Like a pitching machine. You could just have that. They'll bowl 300 every time. Yeah. Every time. [INAUDIBLE] That would be good. Yeah. I'd watch it. You're a sick kid. I like it. That's a sick mind. You just want [INAUDIBLE] perfection. It wouldn't work with baseball? Why not? They'd have to run around. I guess. The [INAUDIBLE] derby would work. That's like the little, the slat car tracks. They have to pull them out of the [LAUGH] [CROSSTALK] Jake. Has this all figured out. Sam, what score would you like to see roboticized? That's a new verb. I used to be a competitive rower. Crew? And I'd like to see them row. Yeah. Which would be just to sort to see how well they can see the boat set. I believe that's called a speed boat. [LAUGH] [CROSSTALK] It's called a jet ski. I mean you have a boat and then you have little robots sitting in it. Okay like rowing. Rowing. That is the most analog meets digital thing ever okay. Yeah that's a thought. So crew. You want robot crew. Yeah. [CROSSTALK] But they have to be waterproof. I feel like that's the big issue. If not, would be kinda hilarious. If not they all- Plastic wrap. [LAUGH] Saranwrap all over robots? Okay. Forefront of technology, pushing in. [LAUGH] And that's it. It's done. Is this a precursor for the future, like robots? I hope not. No, that would be awful. I hope not, but I would love to do commentary, I'm just putting that out there. [LAUGH] I would love to do commentary on robot olympic sports. [MUSIC]
