First Look: Plantronics Discovery 975

The Plantronics Discovery 975 is a unique and stylish headset with great sound quality.

[ Background music ]>> Nicole Lee: I'm Nicole Lee Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a first look at the Plantronics Discovery 975 Bluetooth headset. So as you can see here it's a very stylish looking headset, very fashionable looking, it's a very thin and slim boom right here. On the front here is a multi function call button at the very top. On the side here just 1 volume button, that's right just 1, that means you do have to cycle through different volume levels to get to the right one for you. Also on the top here is a charger jack. On the back here is the ear piece with a very nice rubbery ear gel tip here. It comes with a variety of different ear tips for a more customized fit. Also a nice thing about the Plantronics Discovery 975 is that it comes with a very handy portable charging case. You can chose to either charge the headset separately or charge them both together. Also a nice feature of the case is that it has a very cool LED on the front here that shows you the battery life of both the case as well as the headset. It also shows a Bluetooth status indicator. We were really impressed with the sound quality of the Discovery 975. It did very well in almost all situations even in very windy conditions. It has very good noise cancelling as well thanks to the audio IQ technology in here. [ Background music ] >> Nicole Lee: The Plantronics Discovery 975 Bluetooth headset is available for $129. I'm Nicole Lee this has been a first at the Plantronics Discovery 975.
