E-readers: Octovo Kindle Light

David Carnoy takes a look at the Octovo Kindle Light.

>> David: I'm David Carnoy, Executive Editor for CNET.com and I'm here to give you a quick look at a new product that's coming out at the end of March; this is the Octovo Kindle Light. It's a little light that attaches to the top of your Kindle. It's really designed for the Kindle 2. We happen to have it connected to the Kindle DX 'cause that's what we had around here. It's a nice compact sleek looking light and it comes with a little pouch when it ships. And we found that the LED really provides a nice even lighting for your Kindle, that's one of the better lights we've seen. As I've said this comes out at the end of March for right around $30.00. You probably can't tell from these shots but it is made out of metal so it does feel sturdy in your hand, it doesn't feel like a cheap plastic light. The company's also looking into making this light for other eReaders like the Barnes and Noble Look and some Sony readers, so expect more Octovo lights for other eBook readers. It really is a question of the attachment at the bottom of the light to be able to fit on those other eBook readers and to adjust for their thinness accordingly. I'm David Carnoy and that's the Octovo Kindle Light. ^E00:01:09
