First Look: Midrange ZTE Render takes on Windows Phone 7

1:00 /

U.S. Cellular's ZTE Render is a Windows Phone 7 handset with midrange specs and a reasonable price.

Hello, everybody. It's Lynn La from CNET at MobileCON 2012 in San Diego. Here at the PCT booth, bringing you guys the ZTE Render on US Cellular. This is ZTE Render runs on Windows Phone 7 Tango. It has a 4-inch WVGA screen, and it runs on a 1 GHz processor. Inside, you'll find a 1.6 Ah battery and it's a 3G phone running on US Cellular. On the back, there's a 5 megapixel camera with flash and unfortunately there is no front-facing camera on this phone. Now, as a Windows phone device, you get all the usual slew of goodies like Internet Explorer, Xbox Live, and Bing Maps. Now, a PCT rep did tell me that this device will be available for an upgrade to Windows Phone 8. It's currently being offered by US Cellular for about $80 after you send in a mailing rebate and sign it to your contract. Again, I'm Lynn from CNET at MobileCON, bringing you guys the ZTE Render.
