CES 2013: Lenovo's sleek multitouch laptop opens up a whole new game1:26 /
Lenovo's IdeaPad U310 Touch blends discreet Nvidia graphics with 10-point multitouch for a new kind of hands-on experience.
Hi. I'm Scott Stein at CES 2013 in Las Vegas. And one of these stories, maybe this story going on the laptops after Windows 8 is really touch and the fact that touch is filtering its way slowly but surely into laptops that you may be familiar with and if one had touch them before. Prime example, the Lenovo IdeaPad U310, which now has a touch option. It's also in the U410, which is the slightly larger one. These are Ultrabooks with your standard set of features. The U410 does have discreet and videographics. These have 1600 by 900 displays. They have a solid metal design, very comfortable and 10-point multi-touch right over here as you'd expect. These are gonna be available in spring starting at $779 for the U310 Touch, $850 for the U410. And touch is not just for Ultrabooks, the Lenovo IdeaPad Z400 and Z500 laptops are full featured 14 and 15-inch laptops with a video discreet graphics, backlit Keyboards, screen displays up to 10 ADP, optical drives, and of course 10 point multi-touch as well. These are gonna be available in the spring starting at 699. They have a pretty sleek design. That's the story of CES, touch touch everywhere, everywhere. But that's not really such a bad thing, is it? I mean, its useful feature. I'm Scott Stein at CNET for CES 2013.
