>> Hi, I'm Kent German, Senior Editor here at CNET.com. Today we'll take a first look at the Kyocera Mako S4000. This is a phone from MetroPCS Service. It has a pretty standard design. It is a flip phone. Not very stylish, but not unattractive either. Standard silver color with the external display right here. I thought it was pretty small for the phone size. Small speaker down here has a retro mesh design. Internal display I found it was a little smaller than I'd like. It wasn't the highest resolution around, still colors looked okay, graphics looked pretty good. Menu is pretty easy to use, come in a couple of designs, pretty intuitive, I could find everything that I needed. Keypad and controls, we weren't totally in love with them. They are completely flat. I found them a little slippery as well. Texting and dialing, I got the hang of it, you know through a couple times of use, but not really the best for tactile definition or dialing by feel. Some qualities are pretty decent, and the feature set is mostly low-end. Bluetooth is nice without VGA camera. It is about as high as it will go on the multimedia aspect, although the picture quality is pretty nice for a VGA shooter. I'm Kent German and this is the Kyocera Mako S4000.
