iPhone rumors discussed and debunked

Tech Industry
Hi everyone I'm Kara tsuboi joined by Jocelyn Johnson -- Apple expert here to talk about -- iPhone 5 rumors. But -- June 20 ninth marks the anniversary of the iPhone 5 years ago the first debuted. We've come a long ways -- looking back it -- first model feels sort of a prehistoric resentment isn't coming when we the first phone cannot no one thought it was gonna do well -- 600 dollars it didn't apps. You can take the battery -- dynamic keyboard these are all things it. People really didn't know what to do I mean it was a completely different kind of Smartphone at the time. And now obviously the rest is history they've sold more than 200 million -- huge part of Apple's business. And and it's if -- key product. Absolutely so exceed five versions of iPhone so far the last in a four S released in 2011. Everyone is waiting for the new version -- can that possibly happen I think the rumors that -- or September or October which is the same time they did last year. That's really good time for -- to release something -- when -- -- on the holidays people out some money to span. -- -- -- -- And fraud people about it maybe years to -- its -- -- There on their two year contract so the rating to buy they're eager. So with the four S we saw the add new addition of Siri the talking voice assistant and we also site and a better camera better screen and what kinds of improvements big or small I -- -- to -- next version. I think it saves it will see it faster processors will see a better camera. -- big rumor is actually -- -- screen will increase in size. And sounds really an exciting for lot of people -- -- keeping my a lot of competing devices up from school. And Microsoft how these larger -- people are just getting used them and by comparison Apple's -- small toy ish. So I would definitely expecting an increase that if they don't I think a lot of people going to be asking. -- you know why not -- larger device. So we may actually see a hardware change the first part retains a couple of models that correct -- this -- -- really -- that was -- around well before the for us and actually for years before that. But Apple's really kept -- the same. Although it's the credit that's really nice for app makers because it's easier for me gaps in its. Bounce for a few years it'll work with -- -- -- that's always been a benefit for that there hasn't in this or fragmentation it's played Google. And just think it would about the smaller changes or improvements to look out for and -- ones that -- and you dock connector there's been rumors of magnets like they use wander out on their notebooks share and that's really can be deal because the Simonyi can make support. And the more size there is on the inside for the things like -- even a larger battery. Well a lot to look out for and keep her fingers crossed for. September October we'll check in with -- then who think you Josh just -- and I'm Kara tsuboi cnet.com thanks for watching.
