iPhone 6 Plus alternatives
[MUSIC]
In spite of it's big size and big price the demand for the iPhone 6 Plus has been incredible, but the supply for the iPhone 6 Plus, not quite as incredible.
But unless you're an Apple fanatic there's no reason to wait.
There are some great alternatives to the iPhone 6 Plus that measure up in both features.
And screen size.
Here are the five best, and just to mix it up, I ordered them by the amount of iPhone like envy they'll create in others.
Starting off at number 5, the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G.
It's an Android phone with a 6.1 inch screen, a 13 megapixel camera, and a microSD card slot for extra storage.
But it's best feature is it's price.
$299 unlocked and off contract.
It's the best deal on this list.
But as no one's heard of the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G it's the least likely to elicit a iPhone 6 like envy that we're looking for.
For.
So how about number four, the Nokia Lumia 1520.
Here's a flag ship Windows phone with a six inch, 1080P display, 20 mega pixel camera, and a quad core Qualcomm snap dragon 800 processor.
200 dollars on contract makes it relatively affordable.
You take the eye catching design and the mystique of the Windows phone OS, and you're likely to turn some heads.
And maybe even drum up some jealousy.
Coming in at number three, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Due out in October for around $300 on contract.
You get a 5.7 inch screen with a 1440p resolution, a quad core Snapdragon 805 processor and a 16 megapixel camera.
Most importantly, you get that built in stylus, which really drives home the illusion that you're doing some serious work on your phone.
That ups the envy factor, but you have to balance it out with the fact that the Note 4 looks pretty much like last year's Note 3. So how about number two?
The LG G3, the surprise hit of the year.
You can find this phone on every major US carrier for around $99 on contract.
It's a beautiful design with a thin bezel and the unique volume locker placed on the back of the phone.
The great camera with a laser auto focus and a stunning 2560x1440 resolution screen that can make those photos pop.
Now that screen is 5.5 inches so you're not really gaining any screen size over the iPhone 6 Plus.
But you get a killer Android phone and some leftover money in your pocket, and that's where I start getting jealous.
But if you really want a phone that will stir up more envy than the iPhone 6 Plus, our number one pick is the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge.
It's everything you love about the Note, but with a screen that curves over one edge of the phone.
Now it remains to be seen if there's any practical reason for this.
But if the goal is to get people lining up for a chance to hold your phone from the future, this is the one you want.
So there you go.
Five big ole phones that can serve as a worthy substitute for the iPhone 6+.
