>> Brian: What's up Prizefight fans, I'm Brian Tong and we're facing off two new touch-screen contenders. In this week's Prizefight
it's Sprint's HTC Touch Diamond versus the unlocked Samsung Omnia. Our paneled experts judging this fight are Senior Editor Ken German,
Senior Editor, Bonnie Cha and me. It's five rounds in this fight, in round 1, who's got the sexy? HTC's Touch Diamond is more
compact but its smaller screen has a higher resolution, the Samsung Omnia has a bigger screen and slimmer design ala the iPhone.
Now, these phones look great even with their different form factors and everyone gets a 4, next round is navigation. Both of these
phones put their own interface on top Windows Mobile, which is a good thing, the Touch Diamond uses the Touchflow 3D interface, it's
pretty, easy to use and scoring through the menus is snappier than previous versions I've used. Now the Omnia uses the TouchWiz interface
that allows you to customize your main screen with different Widgets and the Tactile feedback is a nice touch as well, it's a close
one but the Diamond gets the edge with a 4 and the Samsung Omnia gets a 3. After two rounds HTC leads 8 to 7, next round is about the
features. Both of these phones are stacked, now the Touch Diamond and Omnia both have 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, MMS, email, and Web
browsing and more but the difference, well the Omnia brings a 5 Megapixel camera and the ability to expand its storage potentially up
to 32 Gigs, Samsung takes this round with a 5 and HTC gets a 4, round 4 is about video and music quality. The Touch Diamond has
decent multi-media quality on its smaller screen but there are other phones that do it better. Sprint TV still isn't that hot and the
4 Gig storage limitation hurts here too, the Omnia's music quality is about the same but it gets the edge with video and photo quality,
the expansion slot gets you more media if you want it and there's FM radio too, the Omnia gets a 5 and the Touch Diamond gets a 3.
Now, after 4 rounds the Omnia has the edge by just one, now this is a cell phone Prizefight and the final round is all about call
quality. The Touch Diamond has the better call quality between the two but its speaker phone wasn't as good. The Omnia had decent
call quality as well but there wasn't as much drop-off with the speaker phone; there was a slight background noise with both phones
but it wasn't enough to hurt them, we're handing out 4's to both. So let's total up the final score, every round was close and two
rounds ended up tied but the Samsung Omnia takes home the Prizefight title winning 20 to 19. I'm Brian Tong, thanks for watching and
we'll catch you guys next time on another Prizefight.
