[ Music ] ^M00:00:08 >> We're here in the 2010 Lexus HS 250h, their brand new hybrid only model for a quick how to on pairing and using your Bluetooth phone. Not just for calls, but also for streaming audio. First of all to pair you want to get over here to set up in the menu, you use this new Lexus remote touch controller which has haptic feedback. Enter buttons on either side can be used. Phone is down the lower left. Now, you might think to go to Bluetooth to do a Bluetooth set up, but actually it's not there. You've got to go to manage phone and obviously if you've got a space open only four phones can be paired, you grab one of the open blocks. Now, it's ready for your phone to talk to it, so go to your phone whatever that process may be to get your Bluetooth rig up and searching. Enter the pass code, you see right there on the screen and go through whatever rig-of-a-roll your phone requires to say yeah, yeah, yeah, do the pairing. When you're done, you'll see three indicators at least in my Blackberry here including hands-free phone, as well as AV and audio control. That's because we have more than just hands-free calling here. Now, you're hooked up, you see Bluetooth, battery, signal strength, and all of that here, and the name of the phone that you've got connected. Dialing is simple. Of course you could start from your phone or you can go here on the haptic touch panel and enter numbers as you go. Contacts will let you import your phonebook from the phone. If you got a lot of them though, it may take a while. You've also got steering wheel controls and voice command to initiate deal with calls. Phone. Dial by number. >> Dial by number. >> Now, notice you don't need to go to the exact command that it gives you on the screen. If you know that two levels down is the command you want like dial by number, just go there it will figure it out. It's really good voice recognition, though, a little slow as it thinks. The other benefit to this is once you've got a device paired it has A2DP Bluetooth stereo streaming you now have a wireless media player hooked up. If you go to menu, run over to audio, you'll see the BT or Bluetooth tab is active, hit that and then you connect. When it's time to unpair or move a phone from one of these cars that's pretty simple too. Go to setup again, back to managed phone again, go to the options button on the top here and here is edit phones or remove phones. Remove lets you find the one you want to get rid of or you can select all if you'd like and then delete that phone. Those are quick how to on using the new 2010 Lexus HS 250 with remote touch to pair your Bluetooth phone and get some A2DP stereo Bluetooth audio out of it as well. ^M00:02:33 [ Music ]
