CNET News Video: High-end Valentine's Day gifts

1:03 /

All right, ladies and gents, Valentine's Day is a week away. This year, update classic, go-to gifts with some hot pieces of tech. CNET's Kara Tsuboi has some high-tech recommendations that just may be right for your sweetheart.

A fancy watch that just sits on your wrist and tells time is so passé. These days it's all about the smartwatches. Some sync with your phones, some have their own apps and some like the Pebble Steel looks sleek while letting you read rest of our reviews on Yahoo and even play some tunes, thanks to Pandora. For $250, you're giving much more than a fashion statement. You've given pajamas and even satin sheets in the past, well, this year, pony up for the Sleep Number x12 smart bed. This mattress tracks your sleep with built-in pressure sensors, has adjustable positions for reading or even quieting the snore next to you. With a promise of a better night sleep, it'll run you about $8,000. And finally, get your loved one the waiting list for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette. Its advantage over the 2014 model, the integrated performance data recorder, meaning there's a cool camera built-in that can capture laps on the track or even just driving down the street. Happy Valentine's Day. In San Francisco, I'm Kara Tsuboi, CNET.com for CBS news.
