The critically acclaimed historical fiction first-person-shooter exclusively for the PlayStation 3 is back. Now set in various U.S. cities, "Resistance 2" offers multiple game modes including multiplayer and cooperative gameplay. [ Sound effects ] ^M00:00:14 >> In 1908 an unexplained explosion flattens more than 2,000 square kilometers of [inaudible] forest in what comes to be known as a [inaudible] event, 6 years later World War I begins. As the war rages Czar Mikael [assumed spelling] crushes [inaudible] before communism can take hold in Russia. Russia builds a barrier along its European border that is longer than the Great Wall of China. Construction of the largest U.S. Army base begins in Alaska, isolation as Senator [inaudible] Grace defeats Roosevelt in the elections. In 1947 a Russian refugee carrying the genetically modified skull dies enroute to Britain. May 1948 German intelligence intercepts Russian Navy broadcasts, the Kymira [assumed spelling] break through the Russian Wall invading Europe and infecting entire populations with the Kymiran virus, after just 4 weeks the continent has fallen. The Kymira Tunnel under the English Channel, British intelligence discover there unearthing the networking of giant towers, their purpose [inaudible] unknown. In a desperate raid joint British and American forces destroy the massive London Tower causing death to all the Kymira on British soil. In preparation for the inevitable the U.S. government creates a liberty defense perimeter, its purpose, to provide safe-haven for the millions fleeing in the event of an assault. On May 15th, 1953 the Kymira launch a massive attack against North America. >> Today the country shutters in the wake of cataclysmic devastation drawn by war with a brutally terrifying enemy, the likes of which we have never seen.
