-At this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 in Los Angeles, game and console manufacturers made no secret of designing games for kids-- young kids.
-This game opens up a living story book full of monster friends for you and your kids to meet and play with.
-Experts say, it's a trend that's been developing for years, but now the hardware technology has evolved for even easier gameplay.
-It's extremely accessible because I've taken away the controller, because you-- you haven't got anything in your hands.
There are no buttons to learn.
The idea there is-- that there's no barriers to entry and that very young kids can be playing--
-Besides Sesame Street, game developers are also tapping into other well-known kid friendly franchises for their titles.
-This a-- that recognition and I mentioned especially among young-- young gamers, that recognition from the movies and then of the TV and, you know, the toys that they love in video games, that's-- that's all we gonna do well.
-We do serve like candy.
We wanna make sure you don't maybe overuse that too much.
-As a parent, CNET Senior Editor's Scott Stein, is skeptical and cautious about his son's gaming exposure.
But, he acknowledges that parenting styles need to adapt with the technology.
-We maybe in an age where these types of games and interactions do get learned at a younger age and maybe we, as parents, have to learn and integrate that better.
-Gaming manufacturers are banking on capturing the imagination of little ones and perhaps even the parents.
