First Look: Fly by the T-Mobile Concord

1:01 /

Though it doesn't have the highest specs in the market, the T-Mobile Concord is a 3G phone designed for smartphone n00bs who want to be contract-free.

-Hello everybody. It's Lynn La from CNET bringing you guys the T-Mobile Concord. The Concord is an entry-level prepaid phone from T-Mobile. It comes in an attractive dark wood design and it feels sturdy and dense in the hand. The device is 3G-enabled and has a 3.5-inch screen with a 320x480-pixel resolution. On the back, there's a 2-megapixel camera, but note there's no accompanying LED flash. Inside the handset is powered by a 1.5 Amperes hour battery which roughly translates to 8.5 hours of report in usage time. Unfortunately, the Concord runs on the dated Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and its 832 megahertz processor makes it a little slow. Of course, these setbacks shouldn't really matter much to someone looking for their first inexpensive and simple Android smartphone which this device is aimed for. If you're interested, the phone is being sold at Target and Walmart stores for around 100 dollars. Again, I'm Lynn bringing you guys the T-Mobile Concord.
