-Now, we're not what you'd call the biggest fans of FM transmission technology, but for those of you who wanna pair a really high tech smartphone or cellphone to an extra low tech FM radio, and you don't wanna go through the trouble of doing an installation or adding new hardware, perhaps an FM transmitter like the FlexSmart X2 Bluetooth-Enabled Transmitter will work for you.
So, the FlexSmart system actually consists of about 3 parts.
There's the X2 FM transmitter itself, a
flexible neck, and a 12-volt plug for your car.
Now, the X2 actually has a little dial right here, buttons for skip, backwards, and play and pause.
It's gonna come into play when your FM transmitting for your car stereo.
It's also got buttons for answering and ending calls.
There's also a really small monochromatic LED display.
Now, on one side, you've got a USB port that is powered so you can keep your cellphone or smartphone charged while you're playing it through your car stereo.
And then, you also got analog, line in and line out, with a 3.5 mm jack.
So, after pairing the X2 into your car's cigarette lighter adapter, you're gonna basically pair it to your phone using a 4-digit PIN.
After that, you'll be able to select an empty FM station and any audio that's Bluetooth-streamed over your phone will then come out of your car stereo speakers.
This works for calls and streamed audio.
Again, if you don't have like a fancy smartphone or someone gets in your car with an iPod, you can have them just plug straight in
to the line in port.
It does come with a 3.5 mm audio patch cable and also micro and mini USB charging cables for your phone, so you don't even have to bring those to the package.
Now, if you're looking for a drop dead simple way to get music from a Bluetooth-enabled device into your car stereo, but you don't wanna go through all that trouble of an installation and you don't really care about ultimate sound quality, the FlexSmart X2 may actually be the device for you.
