Attributed to anonymous now. Meanwhile in Turkey. Anonymous has been going been going after Turkey quite heavily actually and there are various government website and an off line for days. Now Turkey's state run news agency as saying that police have arrested 32 people. Allegedly linked to anonymous that they were taken in to connect into custody just today. After -- and a dozen city. So yeah -- -- oh right they're attacking Turkey over the plans to introduce. Internet -- yet. Further legislation of you know not allowing them to get. Pretty much controlling what's out there on the Internet via in Turkey so they here's and it's keeping the C of these things are gonna pick up steam or. Packers -- -- and it shut things down and take it down -- -- because once. People start you know actually having legal ramifications and are potentially going to jail. It's got a scare some of these actors love it. Yet -- little they know they're there -- -- fragmented organizational across many states many nations. Doing their own thing independently in some cases but -- does that. -- quell this activity that's been taken up lately. We think that what the Federal Reserve has done in terms of like damage to the global economy is to their politically motivated group and they're trying to -- like. You know some sixteen year old -- their teenager that there are other motivations potentially behind. Breaking into the International Monetary Fund system. Now they said that the sophisticated nature of the attack in the resources need to develop it. Help point them to that there was malicious software designed to steal confidential files that was installed on at least one of the IMF's computers. But the nature of its you know how specific it was and how it navigated through their network is what made them open their eyes look a little bigger. It was just like let's go and your server and to snoop -- let's go in target files. Upload and other places and -- you know and move them around. Via and they say that the information held by the IMF would be most valuable they think to a country. So that point strongly to the idea that instead of being -- a gang of hackers that it. Seems to suggest a nation state was behind whatever happened. Meanwhile though the IMF is not saying much at all in terms of what if any information had been compromised and -- -- some information with compromised there's nothing like. It is though the latest obviously in the series of high profile hacking incidents of any sort of wonder like how many I wanna make it diagram we need in. They can use this shadow Internet to undermine repressive governments that are seeking to -- than we've seen a lot of instances where. The Internet was completely shut off. In many countries because that's the vehicle that people are using to organize you know their protest demonstrations over Egypt and Syria on Iran. This is the US is and -- Steen and has been investing. And putting State Department transport to treat this Internet network that would work offline so where things that they're currently -- now leased over. In -- all about in Afghanistan. They at least on US protected air bases they have towers and so they can use these towers kind of like a base station -- signal. That then connects to this. Secondary Internet. That's connected with other phones laptops I can get access but using in the US base has -- of the -- base station when that's one example. Of how these Internet these this dark -- networks. They spend at least fifty million dollars just on that independent cellphone network in Afghanistan alone. They've also finance the creation of these -- wireless networks in Iran CBS it's India. Syria and Libya and if they -- if they ever dates. Like Brad and Angelina feel if Libya. They say the effort is picked -- a lot of momentum since the government of Egypt shut down the Internet in that country during those protests and of course in recent days we know. The Syrian government has disabled most people's access the Internet there. And it's it's just that the Obama administration's. And serve as a hub so the suitcase project it's gonna rely on what they call a mesh network technology and we're pretty much you take devices like your cell phones personal computers. And create an invisible wireless web without a centralized hub this Internet -- case. Would be kind of deployed to be the center of that. And the benefit obviously is that there's no central thing the consent and a double -- the -- BitTorrent model you know I mean its its decentralized. Access so there isn't someplace that you can go and set -- down one downside they say though is that the governments or the secret police could potentially use surveillance to sniff them out to sniff them out. If they're using that technology or just -- them bringing any kind of hardware across the border but because it is -- decentralized it's harder to control. Again -- insisting that. -- -- the United States is not only getting behind this but it it's kind of there's two ways you can look at this it's promoting. Their goal -- the velocity of free speech and other nations in using technology to take advantage of that but at the same time it's using that to. I don't I guess you could state -- -- or breakdown current governments and other countries right right because the politically -- amongst nations they still have to have you know. Diplomatic relationships and -- say where. Creating a developing a tool. To help with that free speech fine but really what is the main goal or purpose of these needs to get information. Com how organizers be able to still come together and protests or you know destabilize the government that's currently not working for the people there. Yet critics are definitely saying you can't necessarily say all we want is for people speak their mind we don't wanna bring dot audit autocratic -- -- the glacier is about it and think.
