Crave: Coming soon: Commuting via Aero-X hoverbike, Ep. 160

5:08 /

Put on your helmet. "Star Wars" speeder bikes are now a reality with the Aero-X hoverbike from Aeroflex, now on pre-order.

[MUSIC]. Hey, my name's Stephen Beacham and here's what's happening this week on CNET Crave Log. [MUSIC]. Crave zone Bonnie Burton recently interviewed Michael Johnson, one of the co-creators of TaxiClear. Using a new chemical clearing formula known as visikol, Johnson, and his team found that there was a demand for their chemically cleared creature specimens. For use by hobbyists, collectors, and educators across the country. The taxi cleared creatures look like little works of art, once they had been treated with visicol. The clearing process allows you to see right through them, exposing bone structures, nervous systems, and even brain matter. Johnson and his TaxiClear team has started a campaign to raise funds for creating more of their TaxiClear creatures on KickStarter, and one day foresee the process being used to study humans. Hey, this is really Nito. Nito is an app than can scan your face and turn you into an interactive cartoon character. Nito works by using the front facing camera on your iPhone or iPad. Sorry android users. It scans the position of your eyeballs, nose and mouth, and then basically mirrors your facial movements, on the face of the cartoon character. The app allows you to create 50 second video that can share via social media that is up gradable for addition 99 cents to add more features or more effects to your character. Hello my name is [UNKNOWN] how are you? Hello. Along with the IOS app, the Neater developers are working on a professional version for animators and corporate clients. [MUSIC] The automated Neewah hydroponic grow box is an indoor garden, controlled and monitored by your smartphone. If you are terrible at keeping plants alive, then this is the easiest way to control watering, temperature, humidity, lighting cycles, and monitor the health of your plants even when you're not at home. You simply plant the seeds and tell that App what you wanna grow. The garden is connected to the internet, and gives you health information using the Niwa App. It will let you know what the plant needs throughout its lifecycle, and even allows you to snap a photo remotely to keep as a visual record of your plant's growth. Niwa is available now for $249 to early bird backers on KickStarter, and will retail for 299 US. This week, the new Batman, the new Bat suit and the new Batmobile where unveiled in a tweet by director Zach Schneider, which I think was more an ad for the Lyca camera, but it revealed Batman looking sad. The sadness sparked a meme called Sad Batman. [MUSIC]. For $85,000 you can have your very own Aerofex hover bike, shipping in the year 2017. The Aerofex hover bike from Aerofex was first revealed in 2012, and showed some promise for the hover bike industry. The hover bike is reminiscent of the Star Wars hovercraft, obviously. But this one is in reality. The Arrow X is capable of flying up 13 meters off the ground at a speed of 45 miles per hour. It can carry a load of 140 kilograms or 300 pounds, with seating for two it can run for an hour 16 minutes on a single tank petrol. Fly on over to the Aerofex website, and put $5,000 down to reserve yours today. [MUSIC] All right, guys. As always, you can find all of these new stories at CNET's Crave blog at www.cnet.com/crave. And she got Crave on twitter @CRAVE, and the got this week's Crave giveaway. This week's crave giveaway is a MicroLab wireless speaker system.
