It's the twenty eighth of July and here's what's making news on Roadshow.
Consumer advocates, including Consumer Reports and The Center for Auto Safety have called on Mercedes Benz to pull advertisements for its' drive pilot suite of semi autonomous driving systems.
The group claims that it's advertisements are over promising on capabilities but Mercedes stands firm that there is a clear delineation between driver assistance systems and actual autonomy.
A new study from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety shows that red light cameras save lives, even if the companies running them aren't always ethical.
Through 2014 it's study shows that cameras saved about 1,300 lives in 79 cities.
And fatal red light crashes are down 21% in cities with cameras installed.
Ford and MIT are teaming up to create a shuttle service that's always in the right place at the right time.
Using light arc sensors and cameras the two are mapping pedestrian movement to ensure MIT's fleet of electric shuttles is ready to provide on demand transportation when its program launches to the public in September.
