CNET News Video: Apple's big new LED display

1:47 /

Apple CEO Steve Jobs shows off the new 24-inch LED Cinema Display, Apple's largest so far. It's designed to easily plug into and power the MacBook.

[ music ] ^M00:00:04 >> Another cool product that we are introducing today is a new cinema display. It's a twenty four inch, and it's gorgeous, and it's our first cinema display that uses LED back lighting. And it's really, really nice. Very thin, again corner to corner glass. It's got some cool features on it for notebooks. If you notice the second cable right here coming out, the first one plugs into the AC, second one has three connectors on it, what are they for. Well the first one is a mag safe connector, so you can plug it right into your notebook and power your notebook. Second is USB, so you can plug it into your notebook and have access to all your peripherals. And the third is a mini display port connector for access to the video. And so you can just plug this into your MacBook Pro, and you're all set. No extra cables, no power supplies, nothing. You're off to the races. So twenty four inch LED back with display, the largest LED back with display we've ever made, high res, built in eyesight camera, and a mic so you can do video conferencing right from the display, built in stereo speakers, mag safe charging connector, mini display port connector, and three power USB 2.0 hub. So it's everything you need to just plug into your notebook, have everything there for video conferencing, everything else you need. Eight ninety nine, and these will be available in November. A great companion to the MacBook Pro.
