Tech Industry: Alienware Curved Monitor

0:55 /

From CES 2008, Natali Del Conte takes a look at the Alienware Curved Monitor.

[ Music ] ^M00:00:03 >> Hi there, I'm Natali Del Conte with CNET TV and we're here at the Digital Experience events in Las Vegas. And you're looking at the Alienware Curved Monitor display. You can see this is a mother of a monitor. It actually doesn't require any special software. It actually just plugs into any machine, so you don't need an Alienware machine to use it. And it doesn't require any special software. It is the equivalent of two 24-inch displays and it is fast. The Alienware are saying that it's got a .02 millisecond response time, which is an order of magnitude of a hundred times faster than the normal LCD display. So, you know, Alienware is going for immersiveness here. You sit here and it's almost like sitting in a front row of a movie. You're surrounded by the content. It's supposed to be available later in 2008. I'm Natali Del Conte with CNET TV at Digital Experience. ^M00:00:53 [ Music ]
