Sumi Das sits down with Editor at Large Rafe Needleman for the lowdown on what we can expect from Google's I/O conference this week.

Hello I'm Simi dust joining me is -- nearly an editor at large for CNET -- thanks for being -- us. A case -- racist going to be at the Google I O conference that's taking place later this week break and tell unless you're planning to -- -- what we expect from this year's conference. It's gonna be big and flashy -- just talk to the Google guys and they're saying. We're gonna have. What ever was last year with all the screens going -- -- gonna be even bigger this year so they're trying to get a lot of buzz going. For the show and -- interest -- because it's a developer's conference in the audience are people who build products on the Google platforms Chrome. Android tablets phones and all that. But they're trying to make it big media splash so attract attention beyond the developers obviously right -- to do it starts with developers. The developers have to build things but they're building them for Google's new products. So we expect to see any new cool tablet here but the rumors of that the nexus 77 inch. Tablet Google branded tablet not -- -- partners. The branded by Google like the nexus phones. Compact and anything different besides the flash from past conferences and major differences. We don't know yet and we are very excited to hear more about Google glasses and we don't know what. They're going to be doing with classes at the show but I can't imagine that they're going to have a big developers conference like this. With face flashy new product that they say they're going to bring to market this year without giving people hand maybe try on. Of these new goggles. For somebody besides a Google employee perhaps might get to try and after this conference and hopefully meet I don't know -- And finally you know Larry Page -- CEO. Typically attends every conference so this year though it seems like he may not be there why and tell us what kind of impact to me. Well -- he sent a note out to staff saying that he's unable to speak for a few days so we won't be getting any speeches at that Google mail and down that's. A bit of a downer -- -- you expect the leadership of the company to be there of course there's certainly. -- we expect to be there. We don't know who yet is going to be giving the -- this 1 on Wednesday morning on on Thursday morning. Probably the current ultra Google+ because -- such that so core to Google's mission now the social angle. Google stock went down on on this news we think so it's kind of -- big -- that the alert -- able to make it. Okay alright and we will have more updates throughout the week of course we will be live blogging the -- it's a three day show will be covering heck out of that we've got a whole team going. Will be looking at new products both for consumers and for the enterprise. Any new hardware announcements the whole thing Google cars maybe we don't. Ray thanks so much for joining us -- for CNET I'm -- -- thanks -- watch.
