A closer look at the Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch
Hey, this is [UNKNOWN] and we're here in San Francesco with big news from Oculus.
First, we've got a release date, or a release window, early 2016.
There's still no word on pricing.
Now, the Oculus Rift looks quite a bit like the development kits we've seen over the last couple of years.
There are two ear pieces on the side that control the audio, and there's gonna be a little stand that you hook up to your PC, that's gonna handle your position or tracking.
We also know that the Oculus Rift will be bundled with an XBox One controller, and can stream games directly from your XBox One.
Now, that's gonna be a nice way to pad the games library a little bit, as developers ramp up and get their own games developed for the system.
Now, I see the big piece out of this event, are the new Oculus Touch controllers that we got to check out.
Now, they're prototypes, called half moons at the moment, but they're controllers that go around your hand and offer Buttons and analogs sticks to control the game and get natural hand gestures, like waving to your friends and things like that.
Unfortunately we can't go hands on with any of this just yet but we'll be hearing a lot more and seeing a lot more at E3.
I'm Nate Ralph.
Be sure to head to CNET to check out everything else.
Thanks for watching.
