The new entry-level Lamborghini is fast & light.
Well, if you're on the market for your first Lamborghini, a. I envy you, and b., this is what it might be. Here's the new entry-level. It replaces the Gallardo. This is the new Lamborghini Huracan, name for a bull. They're all named for bulls. Now, a huge part of the story on this guy, it's here under glass, of course. Here is the 6.2-liter V10 mounted midship's classic Lamborghini arrangement. We're getting 601 horsepower out of this car, which is about 40 to 50 more in the outgoing Gallardo in a similar configuration. But they also pulled about 170 pounds of weight out of the vehicle. So, everything's going the right direction for 0-62 at about 3.2 seconds. One layout to start, it's going to be a 7-speed dual clutch out to all-wheel drive. Later, we expect there'll be a rear-wheel drive and spider variance. Now, take a look at the button, take a look at the face, then you're gonna see more Aventador DNA, certainly to my eye. Inside, a lot more tech than the old Gallardo like an all-LCD instrument panel that can go completely map if you wanted to. Kind of an Audi thing. All of this is NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered. And even the center console, gauges, and switches are a lot more sleek and modern than the Gallardo. Good-looking vehicle, and by the way, much smaller in person than they look in magazine or web photos. Just in case you're wondering, it's not a very big car. But it sure presents as one. All that horsepower helps you do that.
