The Fiesta hatchback gains the power of MyFord Touch for the 2014 model year, along with a style update. But wait until next year for the exciting Ecoboost model.
-- most abstract gets -- styling. And you check. -- think a lot of the 2014. Ford Fiesta. -- In 2011. Board gave us the fiesta model a -- come -- -- sold around the world since the mid seventies. Now for 2014. We get an update it's mostly styling tech in the cabin not so much under the hood. For styling they've added this larger front grill this is a lot bigger than in the previous generation. And you can see it has -- very similar features to what you get on the fusion in the bogus. This will -- the most common design language among their sedans and -- expects this is big headlights -- out to the grill. Who's got a big mouth -- here and going back to start W last -- than the previous generation now this is the hatchback model you can also get this in the sedan but. I like the -- a lot better it looks a lot cooler and it's much more practical -- -- left but -- back here a little bit of space here remember this is a sub compacts though. Looked at the back there isn't room for a few groceries back here but -- can also throw it on the rear seats back here and that gives me a lot more space and it probably make an -- run or something like that. Definitely -- a weeks where the groceries back here that's go out of I didn't check -- engine. This -- carries over from the previous model to one point six liter four cylinder. Puts out only 120 horsepower 112 pound feet of torque. Not all that special called got a variable valve timing not much else but it gets a -- 27 miles per gallon city 38 miles per gallon highway. -- -- more exciting news is that early next year Ford's gonna come out with their one leader eco boost the engine in the fiesta was going to be a one liter. Three cylinder engine and it's gonna put out -- 123 horsepower 848. Pound feet of torque. That's what we're displacement a lot more power than this and didn't probably do it direct injection and Turbo charging. I hear the dashboard you see -- in -- see in the old generation in the -- we have this big old pot up here. This is six point five inch touch screen that's got the my Ford touch system on it that's a board called their in car. Cabin tech interface in this titanium trim model that standard we also have a Sony audio system you know that by the stereo interface here that's got a unique to that. Sony -- CNET -- some -- the other cars to the fusion. In the focus they have a similar thing if you get the titanium trim the Sony audio system has about it -- -- of sounds pretty good. The navigation system is my least favorite part of my Ford touch. It worked very well listen to such -- resides on an SD card in the console here to -- 95 dollar option. And the problem that is -- renders kind of slowly. I can see the -- fill in as I'm driving which -- dealt with other systems. Other systems use something called dead reckoning. Where they fill in some this information with your vehicle speed. They know what road you're on to the kind of assume -- where you are this one because the -- -- freezes it inside a tunnel or something like that. There's an intersection in there it'll come bully me you and it won't be able to tell you where you need to go go -- command also works with the system. And it actually works really well that's bids again one of the best parts of this car is divided wanna put an address I can for the entire string I can say the number -- the street and the city all -- one string. I don't have to. Put it in separate buckets like in other system so this is a pretty advanced system as far as voice command goes from -- the just does not process to quickly. Of course the biggest problem with my Ford touch. Is that you can't get sync app link and my Ford touch in the same car. Applicants Ford's app integration system that integrates very is that features. Into the interface so -- easy to use while you're driving and one thing they actually have this doubt navigation that's an -- you can -- to get a rudimentary navigation system. Kind of you working with the -- you -- get the big screen but you still get turn by turn directions and stuff. And there's also more than thirty other apps that are integrated with app blanket -- really nice and you don't get that in this -- in the -- with my Ford touch. But enough about the -- products. Here we've got the ship -- for the five speed manual transmission that's the base transmission here. But I'd like to see a six speed -- portal to get those five years. The other option is a six speed how -- -- automatic transmission but the manual I am automatically get about the same fuel economy. So that's a -- them by prison like the manual it's fun to drive while we take this on the road take it out. Right you can just for the Ford Fiesta with the went -- -- and there's a ton of power here. Now that you can get my Ford touch as an option but I consider leaving it out because then you get sync app -- And you can integrate steps down navigation app so you get navigation plus all the other apps that board includes without --
