CNET News Video: Tech support for your Turkey Day dinner

1:37 /

Is the thought of putting together a Thanksgiving feast causing pre-holiday panic? Don't let your feathers get ruffled. CNET's Sumi Das has your back with this tech support survival guide for the Thanksgiving meal.

-This Thanksgiving, keep coming, carry-on cooking with a little turkey day tech support. If your holiday menu is stocking it right,-- -take this 3/4 tarts. -surely, a master chef can spice it up. The brand-new magazine app, Panna, is capitalizing on this year's food trend, offering not just recipes but cooking videos from over chefs like Rick Bayless and Nancy Silverton. -I'm gonna add my cube butter. -You can stop the video. You can take snapshots of the video. You can save the recipes that you want, watch them later. You can upload your own photos. -Laying out a feast for the first time, this free chill app makes your every dish as piping hot and ready to be served come dinner time. -It collates all the steps for you. So, it basically leads you by the hand. You know, on Tuesday, do this; on Wednesday, do this; on Thursday, do this; and we can lead you all the way to a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. -Using your iPad as a recipe guide, keep it grime-free by using a disposable protective sleeve. In a pinch though, a plastic bag will probably do the trick too. -A versatile and sturdy stand for your device is also key. This one lets you prop up your tablet or hang it, but for true food nerds, a cutting board with a built-in stand is the only way to go. Finally, as the last slice of pumpkin pie disappears and the tryptophan sits in, gather around your tablet and launch the cozy Fireplace app. Just don't try roasting any marshmallows. In San Francisco, I'm Sumi Das, CNET.com for CBS News.
