1:01 /

Too busy to clean your house or do your laundry? Outsource some of your domestic tasks through some clever new apps and websites. CNET.com's Kara Tsuboi reports her recommendations in the Tech Minute.

If you're looking for some help around the house but aren't sure who to hire. Give the website Homejoy.com a try. Fill in some details about your house, ZIP code, number of bedrooms and bathrooms to be cleaned and any extra services you'd liked done. The windows washed or the inside of the oven scrubbed for example. Homejoy will estimate how long the job will take and what that will cost you. Typically around $30 an hour. Pick your date and time and then wait for a certified cleaners to take care of the dirty work. HomeJoy can be found in over 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada. For those of us who loathe laundry there are a wealth of new apps popping up to help take the burden off your hands. In Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., there's Washio, a service you can access online or through an app for laundry and dry cleaning services turned around in 24 hours. Fly Cleaners is a similar service and app that works in the New York City area. Both will pick up and drop off at locations of your choosing and claim to keep pricing competitive. In San Fransisco I'm Karen Sepoy CNet dot come for CBS news.
