Quick Tips: Kids Mode and parental controls on the Galaxy S5

1:15 /

Let your kids access fun features and apps on your S5 while keeping you content locked away.

[MUSIC] With kids' mode on the Galaxy S5, you can let your kids play with your phone and access fun features while keeping your content out of bounds. It's got a cute interface, and it's fully customizable. Here's how to set it up. First tap the kids mode icon to download and install the app. In the setup process, you'll create a pin. Give your kid a profile. And choose which apps they get access to. In the main screen, your kid will have access to the camera, a video app, a painting app where they can make fun drawings, and even a voice recorder. Woo hoo! [SOUND] But, before you let them loose, here are some parental controls. Tap this icon, and enter your pin to access them. From the sidebar you can do a number of things, but mainly a daily play time limit and give them access to any application you downloaded like Pandora. To exit app, hit this icon and enter your pass code. Now you can let your kids take control of your phone or at least let them think that. For CNET.com, I'm Sharon Profis. [MUSIC]
