Tech Minute: Gadgets for the grill master

1:03 /

It's the season for firing up that barbecue and grill for your family and friends. What separates you from the caveman are high-tech tools for searing your steaks to perfection. In this Tech Minute, CNET.com's Kara Tsuboi reports on the latest gadgets for your summer cookouts.

[MUSIC] Keep your barbecue fired up with the all new Airlighter. This $100 gadget shoots a four inch flame and claims to light coal in ten seconds while reaching high heat in under a minute. The built in fan stokes your fire so you don't get winded blowing on it. Just in time for the weekend, the Webar Grill's app delivers 75 new barbecue recipes every Friday. Download this free app onto your iPhone or Android, and enjoy barbecuing. Tips, grilling videos, and a bookmark feature to save your favorite recipes. The $80 iGrill Bluetooth cooking thermometer is a high tech way to ensure your meat is cooked perfectly every time. A probe inserted into your steak connects with the iGrill device which syncs wirelessly to the app on your phone or tablet. And finally, save the hassle of cleaning your grill to the $129 Grillbot. The robot scurries over your grill with a wire brush so you can enjoy that last, delicious bite of BBQ. In San Francisco, I'm Cara C Boyd with CNET.com for CBS News. [Music]
