2:50 /

A new personal fitness tracker is unveiled, Samsung deflates Galaxy S4 launch reports, and Twitter profiles now have header images.

-It's time to put a little zipping your step. I'm Bridget Carey and this is your CNET update. If you geek out over workout and personal fitness technology, then check out the new Fitbit Zip. For $60, this electronic pedometer is targeted the people who wanted track their daily activity and see how many calories they're burning. Your progress is summed up in a nice bar graft on your app. You set up a personal profile to tell it about your body. So, it counts your steps and calculates what you burned based on your statistics. Now, this new version also syncs data to your iPhone via Bluetooth. Android users, you'll have that feature eventually. You can also earn fitness badges and share progress with friends. Everything about fitness has gone social. Now, the higher-end version is called the Fitbit One. It also tracks your sleep and has a silent vibrating alarm to wake you up. Now that comes out in early October for 100 bucks. You can learn more about it in our full review posted at CNET. But would you pay for fitness tracking gadget to get you motivated to move? Let me know. Send an email's update at cnet.com or tell me on video using Tout. In our last show, I mentioned that in their reports that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will debut in February, but a Samsung Twitter account imply that this wasn't true. The original report came from a Korean Times story that spoke to anonymous Samsung officials and local parts suppliers. Now, Samsung could just be playing coy with the denial? Guess we'll have to wait until February to find out for sure. Starting next year, JetBlue will offer free in-flight Wi-Fi to promote its new faster Wi-Fi connection speeds. Well, it will be free until the first 30 aircrafts have the faster Wi-Fi installed. In that time, passengers get free internet connection that will be good enough for checking email and basic web browsing. Intel has entered the Smartphone scene. The first phone with an Intel Atom processor has just been unveiled. It's the Motorola Razr i, which is just like the Droid Razr M for Verizon. But this Intel processor version is now only in Europe and Latin America. iRobot, the creator of the Roomba floor cleaner has turned 10 years old and to celebrate, it just sucked up a rival robot company. iRobot has acquired Evolution Robotics, which makes the Mint, a robot that cleans hard surfaces with disposable cloths. Twitter just released an update to its mobile apps for Android and Apple users. Now you can add a background banner image to accompany your current Twitter user icon. It also shows that on the Twitter website. You can also pull up a stream of photos from users and the iPad app, it also has a new layout. That's tech news round up for you today. You could find more details on today's stories at the blogs cnet.com/update. For more studios in New York, I'm Bridge Carey.
