First Look: First look: Nabi Big Tab, the biggest Android kid tablet we've ever seen

It's 20 or 24 inches, weighs at least ten pounds, and has kid-friendly apps and software. And it's large enough to double as a living-room TV for Netflix.

[MUSIC] Hi, I'm Scott Stein. Maybe you have a kid, maybe you're looking to get a tablet. Maybe you're looking to get a gigantic tablet. The Nabi Big Tab, which is coming this fall, is a 20 or 24 inch Android tablet. This is KitKat 4.4. It's actually pretty holdable in one hand. It's coming out this fall, and it costs $449 for the 20 inch one, which is a 1500 by 900 resolution. $549 for the one with the 1920 by 1080p. They both have 16 gigs of onboard storage, and not only is it full Android Kit-Kat 4.4. But it actually has a kid friendly zone. If anyone's seen a Nabi tablet before, this is a special UI that you can add your own apps to. And they also have a lot of kid-friendly software as well that you can create stuff with or share stuff with your family. It works with Google Play, but there's also a curated App Zone that works with a set of games. And content that's already been picked out by age range. So you can go through here, this is all the Nabi UI. But you can flip out to regular Android if you want. And, with something this adjustable, you can actually set this up as a TV in your other room, you can set this up to do any sort of basic Android stuff. Or, play tabletop games with your kids, or do education. Nabi also has a a sort of an allowance based system with their currency. So you could set it to look at chores or other things to earn money to get apps. That's a very quick look at the prototype version of the Nabi Big Tab. It's coming out this fall, I'm Scott Simon with CNet. That's one of the largest Android Tablets I think I've ever seen. [MUSIC]
