Samsung Powerbot VR9000
REVIEW

Samsung Powerbot VR9000

Top-of-the-line models from Roomba and Neato each clean better than the PowerBot while costing hundreds less. We're sticking with those.

Bissell Bolt Ion Cordless Vacuum
REVIEW

Bissell Bolt Ion Cordless Vacuum

The Bissell Bolt Ion is a bad vacuum. It costs a reasonable $180, but it's such an ineffective pain that I wouldn't recommend it at any price point.

Black & Decker 36V Max Lithium Stick Vacuum with ORA Technology
REVIEW

Black & Decker 36V Max Lithium Stick Vacuum with ORA Technology

The Black & Decker Lithium Vacuum is mediocre and tedious to use. It needs to be better than that to be worth its $300 price point.

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Allergy
REVIEW

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Allergy

Dyson reinvents the wheel with the Cinetic series, and though the filterless approach works, it doesn't add enough practical convenience to justify the price jump over similarly capable competition.

REVIEW

iRobot Braava 380t

For $300 (or £260) the Braava might be tempting, but consider holding out for something smarter, more powerful, and with more features.

Neato Botvac 85
REVIEW

Neato Botvac 85

Neato improved on its already-impressive robot vacuums with the BotVac line. Roomba 870 fans might find that Neato's BotVac 85 offers similar features and performance, but you get more accessories (like three filters rather than the 870's two) and much shorter run times.

Dyson Ball Allergy
REVIEW

Dyson Ball Allergy

The DC41's design disappointed us, and the DC65's isn't any better. Despite the strong performance scores, this pricey Dyson is still difficult to recommend.

Samsung Motion Sync Bagless Upright Vacuum with Fully Detachable Handheld
REVIEW

Samsung Motion Sync Bagless Upright Vacuum with Fully Detachable Handheld

If your cleaning needs are limited to dust and other small stuff, this Samsung is stellar, but plenty of other uprights deliver better performance and usability for less.
