It's not quite the royal Wii, but a patriotically painted 'Celebration Pack' Union Jack Xbox 360 bundle has been tipped for a 25 May UK release, just over a week before the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
The existence of the upper-lip-stiffening console was leaked by Amazon, which listed the bundle of gaming gadgetry on its site. That listing has since vanished, but not before Videogamer captured a snap. I've contacted Microsoft looking for confirmation, and I'll let you know if I hear anything.
Pegged to celebrate 60 years of throne-time for Queen Elizabeth II, the Celebration Pack features a 4GB Xbox 360 console, wireless controller and sensor bar, along with Union Jack stickers you can apply while humming the national anthem.
Also bunded are three months of Xbox Live Gold, as well as copies of Kinect Sports and Kinect Adventures. Everything you need for a cracking family argument come the four-day June bank holiday.
All that will set you back £250, which is a decent price for what I reckon is a killer gaming system. As if these... lovely Union Jack stickers weren't enough to tempt you, you can, with no need to fork over the monthly fee. Nifty.
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations kick off in June, when Britons are expected to take to the streets in honour of 'er Majesty. Unless it rains, in which case we'll stay in with a tin of custard creams and watch old Blackadder episodes on Gold.
Will you be draping yourself in bunting and standing proudly alongside the parade route come the Jubilee? Or hiding inside playing Xbox until everything goes back to normal? Let me know in the comments, or on our Facebook wall.
