Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch revealed

New gear showcased at the IFA tech show includes Samsung's smartwatch and the Note 3, Sony's Xperia Z1, and a new type of camera that clips onto a smartphone.

- Samsung's first smartwatch, Galaxy Gear, which works with other Galaxy devices and will hit the US in October for $300. (Sony announced its SmartWatch 2 will be released this month.)

- The waterproof Xperia Z1, which packs a 20.7-megapixel camera and new features -- including unlimited online photo storage.

- Sony's Cyber-shot QX10 and QX100, new types of cameras that clip on an Android phone or iPhone.

- The Samsung Galaxy Note 3, with a new leather look and more note-taking and multitasking tools.
