The hype machine is in full swing for "Guardians of the Galaxy," the upcoming Marvel film with a star-studded cast featuring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and former Whovian Karen Gillan as Nebula. If that wasn't enough, the film also features Lee Pace, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and many other big Hollywood names.
Marvel and Disney just released a new international trailer for the film that has us pretty excited about how it's shaping up. The trailer shows a mix of comedy and action consistent with the other Marvel movies. There are epic battle scenes, charged dialogues, and some pretty hilarious banter between Star-Lord and Rocket Racoon, who is voiced by Cooper.
You also start to get a feel for the plot, how Star-Lord and the rowdy band of misfits became tasked with saving 12 billion people from certain destruction. Perhaps best of all, the modern pop music in the previous trailers has been replaced with a musical score that's more fitting of the film.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" is looking to easily be one of the top summer blockbusters of 2014, and we can't wait to see it for ourselves. The film is set to hit theaters in the UK on July 31, followed by releases in the US on August 1 and Australia on August 7.
