Google X Phone from Motorola could debut Key Lime Pie

Word on the street is that the rumoured Google and Motorola X Phone could introduce us to Android Key Lime Pie.

Word on the street is hotting up with more whispers on the rumoured Google and Motorola X Phone -- which could be the Nexus powerhouse to introduce us to Android Key Lime Pie .

Dutch site Android World admits that a photo sent by an anonymous source was made by that source, so it's worth taking these specs with a clog-full of salt. But we're here now, so let's take these alleged specs as a starting point to see what the next Google phone might have in store.

Purported specs include a 4.7-inch Full HD screen and a quad-core processor. So far, so no-brainer. Heading into more uncertain territory, rumours also suggest not only a whopping 16-megapixel camera at the back, but a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well, complete with the eye-scrolling technology also rumoured to appear in the Samsung Galaxy S4 .

One certainty is that, as befits a phone made by Google, the X Phone will of course showcase the latest version of Android. If this is the next generation of Nexus -- the Google phones and tablets that herald each new Android update -- that could well be the next big update, Key Lime Pie.

And all of this is rumoured to be encased in a frame measuring 131.2x66.7x7.9mm, which is pretty slim.

Google bought Motorola last year but we've yet to see a Moto-built Nexus phone or tablet. Just this week Motorola announced it is firing 10 per cent of staff , so it could do with a shot in the arm from some killer new devices.

What do you want to see from the next Google phone? Do these rumoured specs have the X factor? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook page.
