Dyson: 2006 PC Forum our last

Technology veteran Esther Dyson has announced that she will no longer be hosting PC Forum.

"As I said elsewhere, every year I thought I could do it better; this year, it was as good as it gets, and I decided to quit while we were ahead," said Dyson in an e-mail.

Dyson posted an official explanation of her decision on her Release 1.0 blog on Friday. (Release 1.0 is owned by CNET Networks, which also owns News.com.)

The 2006 PC Forum that Dyson hosted in Carlsbad, Calif., in March covered Web 2.0 technology.
