CNET UK Podcast 219: What happened in Vegas is in this show

This week, we present a special episode of the CNET UK Podcast, recorded live at the busier-than-usual CES tech show in Las Vegas. Appearing with Ian Morris and podcast regular Luke Westaway are CNET Australia's Ty Pendlebury, and the podcast's biggest fan, CNET.com's Natali Morris, who's newly married, but not to Ian.

One item on the agenda for the crack team was the amazing Angry Birds 'board' game . It lets you play Angry Birds with zero need for an electronic device. When the zombie apocalypse comes, you'll be glad of that fact.

Glasses-free 3D was also discussed. Do we need 3D at all? If so, do we care about the glasses, or would getting rid of them make the experience all the more pleasant?

We also talked about  tablets  and their place in the world, trying to work out if these little devices are the future, past or present. We also discussed who owns which tablet and why.

Then we moved onto the more general topic of CES itself. Visitor numbers are up, the show is bigger than ever, and it's staying in Vegas.

Finally, we took some time to rate the best things we've seen at this year's CES and gave a nod to the worst as well. The normal show schedule will resume next week. Until then, viva Las Vegas!
