CES predictions, Ubuntu for phones and cat cafes in Podcast 320
In the first CNET UK podcast of 2013, the team gaze into the crystal ball of tech and predict what products will be at this year's CES.
The CNET UK DeLorean has hit 2013 at 88mph and delivered the team straight into the podcast studio, bringing you a rousing new year tech treat for your ears and eyes.
January around these parts means only one thing, and that thing is our old friend
obesity CES. Yes, the techstravaganza is upon us once again, and so Jason, Andy and I dust off the crystal ball and get ponderin' over what we can expect to see in the forthcoming mass unveiling of new products.
While we all may have lapsed into sloth and gluttony over the past few weeks, the tech world has powered through with the stamina of that 10-year-old Nokia that's still alive at the back of your drawer.is first to stamp its mark on the new year by taking the lid off its intriguing mobile operating system, quickly followed by Vodafone, which is attempting to lure you in with second hand phones and cheaper contracts on its ' ' plan.
In other news: cats and cake and coffee, altogether, in a cafe, in the UK? Could it really be? Perhaps, if the latest Indiegogo project to grab the team's attention is a success. One entrepreneur is proposing to bring Japan's famous cat cafes to London. Fingers crossed she raises the cash, eh?
From oracles to agony aunts, we also turn our attention to you, loyal listener, as we take it upon ourselves to tackle your questions and dilemmas. Our powers of divinity fail to let us see when the Nexus 4 will be back in stock (sorry!), but feel free to throw any other tech-related queries our way over on our Facebook page and we'll always do our best to find you the answers you seek.
Make sure you don't miss out on the opportunity to observe the team's fresh faces and 'holiday weight' as we natter by hitting play on the video below.
